Getting from the airport:
-
Use authorized taxi stands inside the airport or request an Uber from the app once you're outside the terminal.
-
Avoid accepting rides from individuals offering taxis inside the arrival area.
Cash and Currency:
-
It’s helpful to carry some cash for tips and small purchases. You can withdraw pesos from ATMs at the airport or exchange a small amount.
Language:
-
Many signs at the airport and in tourist areas are in English. A little Spanish goes a long way, and people are generally kind and happy to help!
SIM Card, Intornot Accoss
eSIM Options
If your phone supports eSIM, these options offer fast and reliable coverage:
Physical SIM Card
Walk into a Telcel or AT&T store and ask for a "chip SIM". It should cost around $70–100 MXN (approx. $4–6 USD), plus extra if you want a prepaid internet package.

Transpertatlen
We highly recommend using Uber—it is safe, efficient, and affordable.
Renting a car is possible, but driving in Mexico City can be stressful due to traffic and navigation.
Public transportation is inexpensive but can be crowded, and it doesn't cover every area conveniently.
For the wedding day, if you'd like to share transportation with other guests staying nearby, check the box on your RSVP form—we’ll connect you with others.

Like any major city, it’s important to stay aware and stick to well-known areas.
-
Avoid walking alone at night in unfamiliar areas.
-
Use Uber, not random street taxis.
-
Trust your instincts, and ask for help if needed—locals are friendly and welcoming. If you feel insecure, drop us a message or call us. We can help you out!
We will leave our phones at the bottom of this page.
